A Times Capsule
It was within one of the four covered-porch columns that a time capsule was discovered by a crew member working on the property. Hanging by a string from the top of the inside of the column hung a glass jar with a clamp-lid! Inside were Snellgrove family papers, newspaper clippings about the family’s social prominence, a family photo, and letters, including one tracing some of the Snellgrove family histories. It appears the time capsule was placed around the time of a house-warming celebration on Feb. 3, 1951.
